Babbacombe is a lovely little cove for shore dive. The dive is easy and there is little or no current. It is very popular with dive clubs from Dorset or Bristol, so it can be quite crammed in the summer. I've had had good dives there with lots to see, if you know where to look! Mushroom rock is THE place to find and you can't miss it. Well, if you can read a compass!
The viz can vary from half an inch to over 10m on a good day and the temperature can reach up to 18°C in the summer, so a wet suit can suffice if you're brave! If the wind is easterly or southerly, then forget it. Otherwise, you might be lucky!
